Goal: As part of its growth strategy to better serve customers and expand its presence into the New York market, Nordstrom is rolling out its local store experiences to offer services including online order pick-up, alterations and tailoring, styling and beyond to reflect the unique needs of customers who live and work in target neighborhoods.
Lionesque: The Lionesque Group was hired as the full-service turnkey partner to bring the vision of local to life in the Upper East Side. The space features a flexible model and floor plan that is adaptable to the changing need of the customers Nordstrom serves, and TLG worked side-by-side the Nordstrom team to ensure design, customer flow and build out met the needs of the local shoppers.
Outcome: Nordstrom local launched to a flurry of media coverage with national features including WWD, Footwear News, Bloomberg, Cheddar and more. On the first day open, there was a waiting list for strolling cleaning and neighborhood excitement. In addition to a services destination, it will also serve as a community meeting location for networking and family-driven events.
