Adika Opens its First Physical Store in the U.S.

SEASON: FALL 2019

Israeli fast-fashion e-commerce company Adika opened in New York City’s Soho neighborhood in fall 2019 in hopes of becoming the new go-to brand for Gen-Z women in the U.S. Leaning with a strong pink color scheme that fit with the brand aesthetic, the store was 1500 SF and opened as a three month pop-up with an option to extend to a longer-term lease.

Goal: Adika was looking to expand its presence in the US through growth in brand awareness as well as driving incremental sales. The immersive pop-up experience store aimed to assist Adika in gaining mindshare with customers & to be a positive extension of the brand.

Lionesque: The Lion’esque Group was hired to project manage the effort for the largely Israeli-based team, including all construction administration and operational set-up aspects. TLG supported Adika with sourcing and procurement, project accounting as well as overseeing the month-long build-out of the space. Other deliverables included staffing, space elevations, technology implementation, logistics and warehousing, as well as jurisdictional code coordination.

Outcome: The Adika pop-up won the heart of Gen-Z women with their larger-than-life immersive store environment.  With a rainbow arch entryway, stylish neon signs and hot pink floors, the store catches the eye of every passerby on Broadway, making it a unique destination.  The pop-up in Soho was so successful that Adika extended its lease and made this the brand’s first permanent location in the US.
